African Energy Resources Limited, the Perth based diversified miner plans to invest USD 11 million into exploration of uranium in Southern Zambia as the company prepares to commission works.
Mr Wiscort Banda spokesperson of African Energy Resources Limited said that there are plans by the company to expand its mining program through further exploration of more uranium deposits in the Chirundu area in Southern province of the country ahead of the planned commissioning of the mine later this year.

THE R250m satellite designed for the African market will be launched on March 29 with promises of its providing more bandwidth to the continent.
The satellite, New Dawn, which is partly owned by Andile Ngcaba’s Convergence Partners, will sit 36000km above Africa and will deliver telephony, broadband internet access and media content to most of the continent for at least 15 years.
It will address the capacity backlog faced by African wireless telecom operators, broadband service providers, corporate network service providers and pay-TV television operators.

Conduit Capital Partners LLC, a private equity investment firm focused on energy infrastructure investment and development in Latin America and the Caribbean, today announced that it will build a $127 million power plant in West Kingston, Jamaica.
The thermal power plant, which will initially run on oil but can also be fitted to run on natural gas, is a greenfield project.
